OK so I am the first to admit I have been a little lazy on the posting side of things the last couple of weeks, and for good reasons.
For all of you that aren't already aware majority of my spare time is consumed by fashion; whether it is organising fashion events or competitions, styling shoots, shopping or blogging via Indiegochild and Perth Street Fashion.
Lately life has been super hectic with me partaking in all above activities at once; the main focus of my attention of late has been organising the Perth Based Fashion competition "BLITZ THE STREETS"" and "BLITZ THE NIGHT" fashion parade.
The idea of Blitz The Streets competition was formulated by Fashion photographer Ben Riches, his vision was to create a competition that would generate exposure for the entrants which would consist of local talented designers, stylist and e-boutiques who are relatively unknown.
After seeing the competition post on Perth Street Fashion I decided to contact Ben and discuss the possibility of organising a Fashion Parade to coincide with the Blitz The Streets competition.
Ben and I set up a meeting and ever since then I have been on the Blitz The Night rollercoaster ride organising; designers, stylists, hair stylists, make-up artists, venues, advertising, licences, a DJ, models, guest lists, tickets, sponsors, aesthetics, the list goes on.
Luckily along the way I have had help and support from Ben Riches, Tricia Ray, Editor of Colosoul Inc and her amazing team.
Plus we managed to pull together a great production team consisting of; Emily Bathgate, Gen Kovesi, Jess Kidner, Bronte Kelso-Marsh, Perrie Louise Taylor, Candice VH, NeonBlonde and Brooke Wade. All have played an essential part in setting up this night to be a HUGE success.
So some of you are probably wondering just what exactly is Blitz The Night??
Blitz The Night is an extension of Blitz The Streets Competition, my idea behind it was to make sure that all entrants into Blitz The Streets would gain maximum exposure within the local community, giving each one of them a time to shine and proudly show off their creative skills, with models gracing the catwalk in each entrants designs.
On the night you can expect to see designs by; 7 Sins Swimwear, Natasha Mapleson, Alana & co, Eco Peko, Fallen Feathers, Ninety Seven Clothing, Pardon my french, Scarlett Fashion Boutique, Rock A Frock Boutique, Jo Denham Designer Jeans, The Ginger Fox, Cassi Lee Clothing, Savannah Clothing, Silicone Saturdays, Ellie Marie and Red Dusk Jewellery
We will be announcing the winner of Blitz The Streets at the end of the night, with the winner taking home; A voucher to the value of $1000+ to be used on a Campaign or Look book shoot with Photographer Ben Riches with hair by Andrea Green, styling by DeA Style, a $250.00 voucher from Pierrots Hair, Advertorial in Colosoul Inc. and publicity via several local Perth Blogs.
At present the competition is quiet fierce, with a couple of entrants looking like they could take out the main prize.
