Theme: BACK TO BASICS
Concept: To design and make a 3-dimensional, functional object for the table, an implement with a handle that is to hold a volume of food: spoon, ladle, fork, cheese knife etc.
Process: Alloying, melting, pouring ingots, hot-forging, cold-forming, planishing, finishing. Included in the process would also be the making of tools for the object.
Outcome: Each participant should have a finished object at the end of the workshop, as well as a greater understanding of the basic metallurgical principles of working with silver.
