United Nude was established in 2003 when Rem D Koolhaas and Galahad Clark met and came together.
Koolhaas is a Dutch architect who trained at the Technical University of Delft in Holland and Galahad Clark is a seventh generation shoemaker from Somerset, England. Who learnt the family trade working summers on production lines for Clark's shoes in Northampton and Italy.
As a Morehead Scholar Clark studied Chinese and Anthropology at the University of North Carolina. He founded 'Students 4 Students International' a humanitarian organization project to benefit students in Africa. In 2002 he took over the Terra Plana shoe brand which he has run ever since.
Rem engineered the first Shoe of the United Nude collection by downsizing his architectural skill to its most smallest scale, that of a woman's foot, which gave birth to the 'Möbius' shoe.
When Galahad saw the Möbius shoe design, instantly he was convinced that the pair must establish a new brand; United Nude was created.
Launching in 2003 with the release of the 'Mobius' Shoe, United Nude has gained recognition throughout the years; fusing fashion and architectural design into one, creating beautiful, unique and innovative designs.
