On Sunday March 27th Unwrapped will set up shop for the fifth year in South Perth, lining iconic Angelo Street with 60 stylish stalls filled to the brim with the very best fashion, accessories, original art, jewellery, photography and home wares WA has to offer.
The market will run from 12-6pm as part of the inaugural Angelo Street Marketplace presented by the City of South Perth and Soco Realty.
Over the years Unwrapped has cultivated many success stories, most recently, none other than Ebony Harding from the ever-feminine label Little Gracie, which celebrated its second birthday just last week.
Little Gracie’s journey has included numerous Unwrapped markets and a showcase at the 2009 Perth Fashion Festival. This year, the designer’s journey takes her further afield to what is arguably the world’s fashion capital, Paris, where she has been accepted into the Paris American Fashion Academy.
“Unwrapped was a great way for me to get exposure for Little Gracie and start getting my designs and label out there to the public. There are not many events or other market places here in Perth that offer the type of exposure that Unwrapped does; I think the market helps you learn and grow as a person and as a label!,” said Ebony.
Whilst Little Gracie is well on her way to stardom, a number of designers are just starting their journey by launching their labels, including Piper and Holly, Shiny Rabbit and Wisdom of Solomon, at Unwrapped: South Perth 2011.
"Having the support of an organisation like Unwrapped is a genuine gift...... it has given me an opportunity to take that leap of faith & launch my own label. Everything is in place, all the support you need, the consumers come to you & finally there is a light at the end of the creative tunnel,” said Veronica Solomon from Wisdom of Solomon.
Don’t miss your chance to be one of the first in Perth to own pieces from these and many other fresh, new designers.
With live music, fashion parades, cooking demonstrations and an array of fabulous lunch spots, there is plenty on offer at Unwrapped: South Perth to fill a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
